The Major League Baseball Players Association says the latest offer from team owners appears to be even worse than previous offers that have been rejected.
The proposal offered Monday calls for a 76-game season and players receiving 75 percent of a pro-rated salary based on the number of games played.
The regular season would end in late September and the World Series would be wrapped up by the end of October, with sixteen teams qualifying for the post-season.
Player compensation has been the major sticking point between the two sides.
