The methane digester at Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy caught fire over the weekend.
The Kewaunee County dairy company went to Facebook on Saturday to inform the public of the fire, and reported that no one was injured in the blaze.
They explained that the methane digester “turns our manure into energy and bedding.”
They were also thankful for everyone’s safety and those who risked theirs to fight the flames. Multiple community fire, police, and EMS teams were quick to respond, along with many employees who came, offering to lend a hand.
