The day after a 64-year-old Shorewood woman was accused of spitting on a young protester, she was arrested again Sunday for resisting arrest and kneeing a police officer in the groin.
Sunday’s problems for Stephanie Rapkin began when she argued with protesters who were writing in chalk on the sidewalk in front of her house. There were multiple videos of the Saturday incident where Rapkin is accused of spitting on a teenager.
Shorewood police are seeking charges of battery, disorderly conduct, battery to a law enforcement officer, and resisting or obstructing an officer.
Some have called for Rapkin, who is an attorney, to lose her law license.
