Six Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference performers, including a junior from Manitowoc have been named to the 2020 NCAA Division-III Academic All-District-6 Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Team.
UW-Whitewater junior, Shelby Nickels, a graduate of Lincoln High School Is majoring in accounting & finance and owns a 3.96 GPA.
Nickels claimed the long jump title at this year’s WIAC Indoor Championship and received All-America accolades and, Shelby has placed among the top-8 at all five of her WIAC championship meets.
All six of the conference honorees, getting recognition by the College Sports Information Directors of America are now eligible for The Academic All-America Team. That’ll be announced on June 23rd.
