The Wisconsin Department of Justice is offering an Elder Abuse Hotline so victims can report their own abuse – or, onlookers can make reports of abuse they’ve seen. June is Elder Abuse Awareness Month. Experts define elder abuse as sexual, emotional, physical or financial abuse and neglect. They say the signs of ongoing abuse can include changes in behavior, anxiety, and bruises in unusual locations. Information is available online at reportelderabusewi.org. The hotline number is 833-586-0107.
