Neshotah Beach in Two Rivers was a popular attraction yesterday on the warmest day of the year so far.
The high temperature was 89 in the normally cool city and Manitowoc missed its’ record high for the date by only 1 degree with an official reading of 90.
Jared Rohrer, Two Rivers Park and Recreation Facilities Supervisor, tells SeehaferNews.com they “had to scramble to handle the huge crowd that came to the beach.” He added, he was seeing people “who traveled from all over northeast Wisconsin to come to Two Rivers.”
The bathrooms at the beach had been unlocked but they hadn’t officially opened the concession stand so employees wound up selling bottled water & snack bags.
Rohrer expects to see “more of the same the next few days.”
