Basketball coach Gary Grzesk says it isn’t easy to pass on the head coaching job at his alma mater, U-W-Green Bay.
Grzesk is staying at nearby St. Norbert, according to his explanation on Twitter. He says timing just isn’t right for him. Observers in Green Bay say the leader of the Green Knights was the top choice for the same job with the Phoenix.
Former Phoenix player Ben Johnson and assistant coach Brad Soderberg are now being considered.
The person chosen will replace Linc Darner who departed last month.
