New London police report a 71-year-old man has drowned after falling into the Wolf River.
The incident was reported Saturday at about 2:00 p-m. Several onlookers were able to pull the victim out of the water.
Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the man died before he could be rushed to a hospital.
Authorities in New London haven’t released the victim’s name.
