The downtown area of Manitowoc was flooded with protestors, who marched to the Public Safety building to have their voices heard.
The protestors were protesting the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who died after an officer kneeled on his neck for over 8 minutes.
The protestors did hold up traffic for a short time on several streets, but the demonstration remained peaceful.
A woman who claims to have organized the event said on Facebook, “Let’s March for All The Innocent Black Lives Lost to Those Who Were Suppose to Be There to Protect && Service!! We Know All Lives Matter!! But Not All Lives are Being Taken Just For Being Black!!!”
Another protest in Appleton drew over 1,000 people and all who attended remained peaceful.
