We recently reported that the USDA began the Coronavirus Farm Assistance Program (CFAP), where in the USDA is buying and delivering fresh produce, dairy products, and meat products to send out boxes to places like Sheboygan County Food Bank (SCFB) that serve people in need of emergency food during the COVID-19 health crisis.
In response to this initiative, the Sheboygan County Food Bank created a Drive-Thru Food Pantry at Glacier Transit Storage (GTS), Building C, located at 4910 Frontage Road in Sheboygan.
This site is open Mondays and Fridays from 10 AM – 12 PM. To receive the boxes, clients drive up to the southside of GTS’s warehouse at Building C where volunteers with masks and gloves safely place the boxes in the trunks of clients’ vehicles.
The types of fresh products within the Farmers to Families Food Boxes may vary each week.
