Packers second-round draft pick A-J Dillon is already in Green Bay, getting ready for his rookie N-F-L season.
Dillon says the day after the season ended for his Boston College team he was back in the weight room getting ready for the N-F-L combine.
Dillon is working out a Synergy sports right now and has been in Green Bay for three weeks. He says he hasn’t seen any of his fellow rookies or any of the Packer veterans yet.
Dillon says his goal is to be an A-P-B, an “all-purpose back.”
But what about the Packer’s all-star running back from last year, Aaron Jones?
Jones is entering the final year of his current contract and said on a conference call “I would love to be a lifelong Packer.” Jones says he trusts his agents and the Packers to get a deal done.
He had a career year in 2019 with 1,084 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns, plus 49 receptions for 474 yards and three T-Ds. No word on how much the Packers want to invest in a Pro Bowl-caliber running back.
Jones said he was not disappointed or surprised that Green Bay drafted Dillon in the second round. Dillon is built more like a crushing fullback at six feet and 247 pounds.
Jones shared carries last season with Jamaal Williams.
