A six-foot-four center from southeastern Minnesota is committing to the Wisconsin women’s basketball team next fall.
Sacia Vanderpool from Byron is the second player in the Badgers’ 2021 recruiting class. Her sister, dad, and grandparents all attended U-W. Vanderpool says Wisconsin has been her dream school. She attended the Badgers Elite Camp last summer and has visited the Madison campus many times.
Vanderpool averaged 16 points, nine rebounds and nearly four blocks per game as a junior at Byron High School. She joins five-ten guard Krystyna Ellew of Chicago Taft as the second member of the 2021 recruiting class.
