The owner of Oscar’s Frozen Custard in West Allis says what started as a cruising event, organized as the “Hwy100 Automotion Strip Cruise” on Facebook, got out of hand quickly. Organizers of the event encouraged people to “meet up” at the Oscar’s parking lot. Owners Jim and Susie Taylor say a huge crowd turned out for the “cruise” down Highway 100. The Taylors say so many people showed up, it scared away their regular customers and few people actually came into the business that night. They also observed people standing dangerously close to the road. Police handed out about 100 tickets and the Taylors say the cruise had quickly turned into a fiasco.
