Many people may be experiencing a little bit of cabin fever, and the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center is giving you something to do while also remaining safe.
They are putting on a Drive-Thru Barnyard experience at their location on Gass Lake Road in Manitowoc.
We spoke with Jessica Mayer, the Marketing Director at the Center who explained that they will have “Farm animals…as well as different farm machinery that is used on farms, in the fields, what-have-you.”
As for how they came up with the idea, Mayer said they were “different options on how to bring more people in, and this is one of the ideas we came up with. People are able to get that barnyard experience without getting out of their cars.”
Mayer also let us know the event would cost $20 if paid in advance online, and $25 at the gate. They will also be selling multiple flavors of Cedar Crest Ice Cream for 3 dollars per scoop.
This event will run tomorrow through Monday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Mayer called this event a “great way to explore” agriculture in Wisconsin, which ties back to the main goal of the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center, which is to inform and educate the public about the industry.
