Dane County prosecutors say a 15-year-old accused of shooting a classmate to death last August has been charged as an adult.
Myjee T. Sanders of Verona is charged with first-degree intentional homicide.
Fitchburg police say Sanders killed Shay Watson during a fight over marijuana.
Sanders was arrested last week and wasn’t identified until the formal charges were filed because he’s underage.
His bail was set at a half-million dollars during a Monday hearing in Dane County Circuit Court.
A medical examiner has ruled Watson died of a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
