Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers says it is unlikely he and Republican leaders of the Legislature will reach an agreement on new COVID-19 restrictions.
Evers says he met with Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald and Assembly Speaker Robin Vos last week and the three plan to meet again this week.
Evers says agreement might be reached if the number of virus cases surges.
He’s hoping Wisconsin residents will continue to follow the recommended guidelines aimed at stopping the spread of COVID-19.
