The office has been closed, but the trails remain open at Woodland Dunes Nature Center in Two Rivers.
SeehaferNews.com spoke mid-week with Executive Director, Jim Knickelbine to receive a status report on the ongoing expansion there. “Things are moving along steadily,” Knickelbine said. “It helps to have such good weather.”
He said that the floor was going in earlier this week.
Knickelbine explaind the scope of the project, saying it’s “About 5,000 square feet all together. We got to the point where we needed to significantly increase our square footage mostly to accommodate children and other groups that visit our center.”
He said donations for the improvements are still being accepted and they’re “greatly appreciated.”

Knickelbine is looking forward to reopening the office and scheduling an open house for the new addition.
