NASCAR officials say they now plan to run 12 races across the three national series this season.
The sport’s governing body announced the addition of five more Cup Series races Thursday. Races will be held at Bristol, Talladega, Atlanta, Martinsville and Homestead-Miami.
As it stands now, fans will not be allowed to attend.
After a 10-week break due to the coronavirus pandemic, NASCAR’s first race back will be this Sunday at Darlington Raceway, which you can listen to on AM 980 WCUB and 97.1 FM.
Eight spring races have been missed so far.
