Major League Baseball has been discussing its plan to start the 2020 season during a conference call today (Monday) with team owners.
If they agree, the Athletic is reporting the proposal will be submitted to the players’ union Tuesday.
A season of 78-to-82 games would start in early July and the games would likely be played with no one in the stands.
The playoffs would be expanded to include 14 teams.
