Election officials in 21 Northwoods counties are promising voters that all precautions are being taken as they return to the polls today (Tuesday).
Republican Tom Tiffany and Democrat Tricia Zunker are running for the Seventh District Congressional seat vacated when Sean Duffy resigned last September.
County clerks report they received almost 111,000 absentee ballot requests for this election.
The winner will hold the seat until the August primary, then the two-year team will be decided in November.
