The price per gallon of gas continues to rebound back to near $2 after plummeting to below $1 in some areas.
After having the lowest price per gallon in the area a few weeks ago, Manitowoc County is now the most expensive place to buy gas in Eastern Wisconsin, jumping an additional 25 cents to $1.73.
Sheboygan County’s price rose 18 cents to $1.67, along with Calumet and Brown Counties, whose price rose by 23 and 18 cents respectively.
Kewaunee County saw a jump of 21 cents per gallon, now averaging $1.64, and Door County motorists are now paying $1.63, a rise of 24 cents.
The rest of the state is seeing similar jumps in price as the average cost is now up 20 cents to $1.73.
Nationally the cost of gas changed very little, only rising 6 cents to $1.84 on average.
