Shawano police say the 31-year-old man accused of slashing his girlfriend’s throat with a knife Monday night was “talkative, friendly and jovial” while he was arrested.
Jeremy Rudie is charged with attempted first-degree homicide, aggravated battery and strangulation.
Investigators say the woman was driving when she pulled to the side of the road as they argued. She began to throw Rudie’s possessions out of the car and demanded he get out, too.
That’s when he allegedly grabbed a carpet knife and slashed her throat, then tried to choke her.
The woman’s name hasn’t been released.
