The Two Rivers City Council, during its’ virtual meeting earlier this week approved a resolution designating this Saturday, May 9th as International Migratory Bird Day.
City Manager Greg Buckley tells SeehaferNews.com “this should be a big deal for us because we are on one of the great North American Flyways for migratory birds…It’s really interesting this time of year to see all the different species of birds.”
He also pointed to Woodland Dunes and Point Beach State Forest as major reasons for the area being a big region for birds to migrate.
Not to mention the economic impact ‘birders’ have in visiting the lakeshore area.
