Multiple reports say the Cleveland Indians have told their players to point to July 1st as Opening Day for the 2020 Major League Baseball season.
Former major leaguer Trevor Plouffe tweeted Monday that means the three-week spring training would start around June 10th.
Major league officials are saying those dates are still just targets and not set in stone. They want to make sure the players have plenty of time to get “game-ready.”
Though Plouffe presented the dates as fact, some M-L-B officials were quick to shoot that down.
