15-year old Ethan Stokes of Two Rivers has already had his share of stage time in plays and musicals, but now the high school freshman is preparing for a prestigious online role while the covid-19 pandemic remains in effect.
Ethan’s mom, Deanne Stokes, an English & Theater teacher at Lincoln High School, tells SeehaferNews.com the company that writes the Junior & Kids shows has created a new online format for presenting musicals!
Deanne explains after showing “The Big One-Oh” in Zoomsical format two weeks ago, the company known as iTHEATRICS, will be featuring their 2nd’ Zoomsical, “Uni the Unicorn.” And, Ethan was asked to be one of 15 students nationwide to be part of this special musical. Ethan Stokes told us he plays the part of the unicorn teacher, referring to it as both “very imaginative & a little different.”
The Two Rivers High School student added, he’s “very honored to do this” and said the Zoomsical will be shown on iTHEATRICS & YouTube this Friday (May 8th) at 3:00pm Wisconsin time. It’ll also be available to be seen thereafter on those websites.
Ethan, who has done onsite summer workshops in New York for several years, returned less than a year ago from a 9-month tour with the professional production of Finding Neverland. He said that opportunity to perform as an actor in a professional setting “built up his confidence.”
Stokes looks forward to returning to the classroom and he plans to keep doing productions at school and with Treehouse Theater.
