Former Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor says at least one of the texts he received after hearing his name called during the N-F-L Draft was a surprise.
Colts quarterback Philip Rivers congratulated Taylor and said he “can’t wait to go to work.”
After playing with the Chargers for more than a decade, Rivers signed with Indianapolis as a free agent. He’ll likely be the one handing the ball off to Taylor during his rookie season.
Taylor says he heard from another former Badger running back, Melvin Gordon, who told him Rivers is a competitive man. Gordon played with Rivers on the Chargers.
