Among the multitude of plans for the return of Major League Baseball is one where teams would resume spring training at their regular-season ballparks.
No final decision on that has been made yet.
There would be three weeks of spring training before the start of a shortened regular season – possibly about 100 games.
The idea of using home parks came from the desire to save time and money.
Another step yet to be completed is the reaching of an agreement between baseball and its umpires’ union, possibly by this weekend.
