Many small businesses are struggling in this time of economic uncertainty, but there are services out there that are aiming to help. In Sheboygan County, those who are members of the Sheboygan County Chamber can turn to them for help.
We spoke with Deidre Martinez from the Chamber, who said they are still very much open, and their day to day “looks different, but we are working remotely.” While they are not doing things face to face, Martinez says they are still helping as best they can with things both related to COVID-19 and things that are not.
Martinez says they are performing a lot of their work via Zoom. “I didn’t know what Zoom was three weeks ago, and now I feel like I’m all Zoomed out,” she joked. “We transitioned all of our networking groups and deep dive groups to a virtual platform” along with many others.
The Chamber is also doing some things in partnership with Prevea. She explained that they are “Getting an idea, a snapshot of what is happening in our hospital systems, more specific to Prevea. It also gives an opportunity for folks to have question and answer time in real time.”
Martinez went on to say, “As we continue to transition and learn from this experience, we are finding new and innovative ways to continue programming or create new programing that makes sense for our members in the current time.”
