The health department confirmed that one person from Manitowoc County died late Saturday from the novel coronavirus infection.
“We are saddened by this death and our hearts go out to the family, friends, and community,” Health Officer Mary Halada said. “We strongly encourage our residents to follow the Safer at Home Order extension unless activities are essential. That is the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health and safety of our community.”
Two more cases were also confirmed over the weekend, bringing the total up to 11.
308 test results have also come back negative. Three more cases were also confirmed in Sheboygan County over the weekend, bringing their total up to 48.
However only nine of those cases remain active, while 11 others tested negative.
