
A Manitowoc man is facing charges after it was determined he supplied the drugs that killed a man in Mid-January.
Manitowoc Police responded to a possible overdose death in the 1900 block of South 39th Street on January 17th, and found the body of the victim. Heroin and Fentanyl were discovered near the body.
After obtaining a search warrant, officers identified 49 year old Dale Wilhelm as the victims supplier of heroin.. A conversation on the day of the victim’s death between the two indicated that the victim had purchased heroin from Wilhelm that day, and a witness confirmed the transaction.
Bail was set at $5000 cash during a court hearing on Friday afternoon. Dale A. Wilhelm is charged with delivery of heroin as a repeat offender. He remains in the County Jail with his initial appearance scheduled for May 4th.
