Charges of homicide by drunken driving have been filed against a 19-year-old driver who told officers he was “kinda wasted” when he had a traffic accident that killed his friend.
Donovan Luz-Torres had a blood-alcohol content more than twice the legal limit to drive early Sunday.
He’s also charged with driving without a valid license causing death.
18-year-old Justin Wixom of Fitchburg died of the injuries he suffered when the vehicle Luz-Torres was driving slammed into the back of a parked semi.
