The Wisconsin G-O-P is postponing its state convention two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event scheduled for the weekend of May 15th is being pushed back until July 10th in Green Bay. Republican Party chairman Andrew Hitt said in an email, “even if the current restrictions expired sometime in May, we would not have the desired amount of time for a successful convention.” G-O-P leaders asked the Wisconsin Supreme Court to overturn the state’s extended safer-at-home order which runs until May 26th.
