Bail hearings were held this afternoon for two Manitowoc men arrested on drug charges following the execution of a search warrant on Manitowoc’s Southside.
Bail is set at $5,000 cash for 56-year-old Benny R. Wilhelm who’s facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana, all with repeater enhancers and being in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, 58-year-old Rory G. Lorentz is free on a $4,000 recognizance bond and is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and being a keeper of a Drug House.
Police received word of suspected drug trafficking in the 1200 block of South 17th Street. A subsequent search of the residence uncovered nearly 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 18.5 grams of suspected Fentanyl, just over four grams of marijuana, approximately $380 in currency, and a digital drug scale.
Conditions of bail for both Lorentz and Wilhelm are that they are not to associate with any known drug dealers or users, maintain absolute sobriety, and report to MPD for photos and prints.
Wilhelm remains in the County Jail with his initial appearance scheduled for April 27th at 1:30 while Lorentz is due back in court for his initial appearance on June 1st at 1:30.
