Charges Filed Against Police Officer Who Injured Man In Weekend Fight

The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against an off-duty police officer who caused serious injuries to a man during a weekend fight.  Thirty-two-year-old Michael Mattioli is accused of strangling or suffocating the victim.  The incident happened at Mattioli’s home at a party.  The officer is on administrative leave while the case is working its way through the court system.  The name of the 25-year-old man who was injured hasn’t been released.
