An annual rite of Spring for high school students is in jeopardy due to COVID-19.
We’re talking about Prom.
Seehafer News contacted Two Rivers High School counselor Katie Wilsmann about the possibility of it being delayed or canceled this school year. Wilsmann said in an email yesterday, prior to the Governor’s extension of his safer at home order, “we would love our juniors & other students to have a prom, but with the current restrictions, it makes it near impossible.” she continued, “we have been in contact with Sepia Chapel, our venue, and will continue to monitor the situation. If groups are allowed to congregate in the coming months, we’ll host a Prom & Post Prom for our students.” Wilsmann added, “As of now we are on a wait-and-see plan.”
