Just shy of one year after the death of two-year-old Gilbert Grant, all three people facing charges in his death have been convicted.
26-year-old Bianca Bush was in Manitowoc County Court on Tuesday, where she pleaded “no contest” to charges of Child Abuse, Failure to Prevent Great Bodily Harm and Chronic Neglect of a Child. Six other charges, including Allow Use as Place of Prostitution, and Possession of THC were dismissed but read into the record.
Bush, along with her roommate and the mother of the child, 27-year-old Rena Santiago, and 28-year-old David Heiden were arrested after Grant died on April 26th, 2019.
Heiden was sentenced to life in prison, while Santiago will be sentenced on May 26th. Bush will be sentenced on June 16th.
