A six-foot-two point guard who scored in double figures for Ohio State as a freshman has announced he’s transferring to Marquette.
D-J Carton took a leave of absence from the Buckeyes in late January citing mental health issues, then said he was leaving the program last month.
Carton could file for a waiver so he could play immediately, but he’s also said to be considering the pursuit of a professional career if he doesn’t get that waiver.
Two players in the transfer protocol that the Golden Eagles had been pursuing – Jamarius Burton and Justin Turner – had just announced they wouldn’t be coming to Marquette.
