Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is still one of the best at his position, but he is 36 years old.
Even though his current contract has four years to run, general manager Brian Gutekunst has told reporters he would not hesitate to take a quarterback with the team’s top draft pick, number 30 overall, if one of the top prospects is still available.
Rodgers says he wants to play into his 40s and he still plays error-free football.
His numbers were down last season, but you could make a case that Davante Adams was the only dependable receiver he had to target with his throws.
Gutekunst has seven picks on the third day of the draft, meaning he might at least try to obtain a project player to serve as a backup.
