Man Fatally Shot By Police Outside Waukesha Hospital

Authorities are investigating a police shooting outside Waukesha Memorial Hospital early this morning that left a man dead (Wednesday).  Police were called to a report of a man with a gun in the parking lot around 1:30 a-m and located an armed suspect near the emergency room.  The officers reportedly asked the man to drop the gun several times but he refused and pointed it at them.  That’s when officers discharged their firearms and struck the suspect.  He was taken to the E-R and died.  The man was apparently at the hospital for treatment.  A firearm was recovered at the scene.
