A spokesperson for former Wisconsin Badgers linebacker Zack Baun says his client was genuinely confused, upset and embarrassed when a drug testing sample was found to be diluted.
It happened during the N-F-L Combine and all of the teams have been notified. The theory is the finding was the result of Baun drinking significant amounts of water before the weigh-in.
A diluted sample caused by drinking a lot of water is sometimes a strategy used to mask other banned substances which could be traced in a urine sample.
Baun is still projected as a first-round pick in next week’s 2020 N-F-L Draft.
