
The Wisconsin Legislature meets today (Tuesday) in a virtual, extraordinary session to take up a coronavirus relief bill. T
he text of the 87-page piece of legislation was released Monday. It reveals how Wisconsin will take on relief from the effects of the virus on the state’s economy, health care and schools, plus other important areas.
An earlier provision giving the Joint Finance Committee broad-based power to make cuts in spending has been edited out.
The Senate will vote on the bill Wednesday after meeting this morning at 10:00 a-m.
The Assembly meets this afternoon – virtually or in-person – at 1:00 p-m. Its vote hasn’t been scheduled.
