A Manitowoc Woman was taken into police custody yesterday afternoon after she had gotten into a physical altercation with her boyfriend.
Police were sent to a residence in the 1200 block of South 8th Street after a caller requested a welfare check.
The female caller informed police that she had heard the couple arguing the previous evening and didn’t hear anything from them the next day. She told police she heard them arguing, claiming the woman thought the man was spying on her. She said she heard “several loud bangs” and heard nothing that morning.
When the officer spoke with the couple, the man admitted that they had argued, that he was pushed by the female, and that he struck his head on a table.
Police noted a wound on the man consistent with that story.
While the man did not want to press charges, the 39-year-old female was taken into custody, and charged with Disorderly Conduct with a Domestic Violence Order.
