Officers with the Green Bay Police Department say they broke up a basketball game on the city’s east side Monday night after getting a call about six juveniles who were “verbally abusive.”
When officers arrived at Whitney Park they told the players their game was a violation of the “safer at home” order.
One of the players refused to leave and reportedly fought back as officers tried to put him in handcuffs.
He was taken home and turned over to a parent.
Police say they’ve received multiple complaint calls about young people in the Navarino Park neighborhood while schools have been closed.
