A 29-year-old Sturgeon Bay man was arrested in Manitowoc Friday evening after he intentionally caused a crash in the area of North 18th Street and Magnolia Avenue.
Officers were called to the scene at around 11:15 PM and noted that one of the vehicles involved was pinned to a tree by the second vehicle.
When they arrived a man, who was later identified as the aggressor in the situation, flipped off the approaching officers. The man then fled on foot but was eventually caught by police. The arresting officer noted the smell of alcohol on his breath, and a blood draw was performed, which the results of are still pending.
The victim told officers he was traveling east on Menasha Avenue and slowed down after he saw he was speeding. The suspect then rear-ended the victim multiple times, and after the duo turned north onto North 18th Street, he actually pushed him off the road. The suspect then turned around and rammed his vehicle again.
The suspect is facing charges of Obstructing an Officer, and Recklessly Endangering Safety.
More Charges may be coming, pending the results of the blood draw.
