A 46-year-old Manitowoc woman was taken into custody in Florida this week after violating a disaster preparedness checkpoint. The Miami Herald reports that Zoe Leven is also charged with resisting arrest and failing to obey an officer, both misdemeanors.
Key Largo Police say that they tried stopping Leven twice Tuesday afternoon as she tried to drive her car into the Keys.
She told deputies that she was going to drive over a bridge because it was on her bucket list at one point Leven said she was going to drive straight through and they wouldn’t be able to stop her.
She eventually complied and was taken into custody. As of yesterday-Leven remained in jail on a $1000 cash bond.
