Wisconsin Senate Minority Leader Jennifer Shilling has announced her retirement.
The 50-year-old Shilling has served in the Assembly and Senate for 20 years, but she won’t seek reelection.
Since Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald is running for Congress in the fall, a major leadership shuffle will be coming to the Wisconsin Senate.
Shilling spent more than a decade in the state Assembly, then won a Senate seat in 2011.
The La Crosse Democrat says it’s time to put her family first and put her suitcase away.
