For those choosing to vote in-person at their polling place on Tuesday, Manitowoc City Clerk Deborah Neuser informs citizens that they take the safety of poll workers and voters “very seriously”.
Neuser says Election inspectors will be equipped with masks, gloves and safety glasses. Polling places will be equipped with hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes and the floors will be marked with tape six feet apart for voters to stand.
Voters are encouraged to bring their own black ballpoint pen to mark their ballot. Meanwhile, municipalities are “heavily encouraging” eligible registered voters to cast an absentee ballot to help combat the spread of COVID-19. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 5 p.m. Friday, April 3. Visit myvote.wi.gov to request your ballot and follow the directions.
