The U-W athletics department is doing all it can to get ready for the possibility the coronavirus pandemic will impact the 2020 football season.
The Badgers are scheduled to kick off the first of six home games September 4th.
If the season is shortened by the virus, it will significantly impact the university’s ability to give its student-athletes opportunities.
Due to the cancellation of March Madness, colleges and universities have already lost millions of dollars.
The U-W-Madison budget is based on a little over $25 million In football ticket sales.
Although spring football practice was scheduled to start March 22nd, all Big Ten Conference organized team activities have been suspended until May 4th at the earliest.
