Barbershops and salons were told to close their doors about a week ago to help slow the outbreak of COVID-19.
Here in Manitowoc, John Middleton decided that it’s a good time to retire.
Middleton’s barbershop was located at 1503 Washington Street and a a hand-written sign on the front door of the business said, “Thanks for your patronage. I retired. John.”
His barber chair was placed next to the curb in front of his shop.
