A Madison woman tells police she planned to hire handyman Charles Knuteson last week but changed her mind when he appeared to be drunk when he arrived.
She called 9-1-1 after she saw Knuteson hit two other men who had come to help with the work.
Two officers wound up with minor injuries they suffered while taking the 29-year-old Whitewater man into custody.
Police say Knuteson defecated and urinated inside the squad car before spreading feces on a rear camera, a door and the bars on the car’s windows.
He also damaged a door on the squad car by kicking it.
